Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where I studied comparative literature at the Universidad de los Andes, I later moved to Canada where I’ve lived since the early aughts. I’m currently settled in Calgary, in Treaty 7 Territory, where I live with my family and work at Mount Royal University. I’ve been a reporter, a pollster and a communications advisor, and now a journalism scholar and educator. All roads have always led me back into doing, thinking, and teaching about journalism.
